The following positions are currently open:
(1) Technical and Product Documentation Writer
Location : Singapore, Johore Bahru and Kuala Lumpur
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 3 years technical writing experience in software and hardware products.
- Strong communication skills to explain step-by-step guide in which non-technical person will be able to understand the steps written for software and hardware installations, configuration and diagnostics.
- Minimum 3 years experience in technical writing on topics and/or products based on Linux, BSD, and Open Source Software such as Postfix, Apache, Dansguardian, Squid, MySQL, ISC DHCP, SpamAssassin, ClamAV, PHP, OpenLDAP, Samba, CUPS and other GNU tools and utilities which CommGate, Inc. uses in our range of products.
- Able to work long hours as and when needed, teleconference between 10pm to 2am (+8 GMT) and willing to work on weekends.
- Applicant will be tested for his/her knowledge on Linux distributions and various/random Open Source Software (OSS). He/she will also be evaluated based on technical writing competency skills and knowledge of integrating OSS.
- Showcase of past projects such as Technical Books, User Guides, User Manual, Installation Guide, Product Guide written with proof of ownership is an advantage.
- Applicants with LPI, RHCE, CCNA and MCSE certifications has an advantage.
(2) Web/GUI Developer
Location of Work: Singapore, Kuala Lumpur
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years working and development experience in developing web applications and/or products based on PHP and JSP with strong GUI design skills, Linux, BSD, and UNIX using Open Source Software such as Linux, Apache, PHP, and MySQL.
- Must have lead or work in a team to develop web applications and/or products with in-depth knowledge on web GUI for software deployment, administration and management purposes.
- Able to work long hours, on weekends as and when needed and travel between Asia and US for projects.
- Applicant will be tested on his/her knowledge on various Linux distributions and Open Source Software. He/she will also be evaluated based on technical competency skills and practices on software development.
- Applicant MUST have strong communications, software documentation and technical skills. Proficient in PHP, JSP, C, C++, Perl and BASH with desire to learn new development languages such as Python, Corba and JAVA.
- Showcase of past projects, applications, GUI designs or proto-types with proof of ownership is an advantage.
- Applicants with LPI, RHCE, CCNA, PMBoK, SDLC certifications is an advantage.
(3) Post-Sales Support Engineer
Location of Work: Singapore, Kuala Lumpur
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years working experience in providing post-sales technical support in the IT industry.
- Minimum 2 years experience in supporting Linux and UNIX based desktops and servers with exposure to Open Source Software such as Postfix, Apache, Dansguardian, Squid, MySQL, ISC DHCP, SpamAssassin, ClamAV, PHP, OpenLDAP, Samba, CUPS and other GNU tools and utilities which CommGate, Inc. uses.
- Able to work long hours when needed, travel between Asia, and willing to work on weekends and rotating shifts.
- Must be competent in helpdesk operations, remote technical diagnostics and analysis and able to provide guidance and technical support in a very clear and concise manner to CommGate, Inc. partners and resellers.
- Applicant must have an outstanding track record, good communication skills, a positive attitude, enjoy working long hours and must have absolute passion for his role and responsibilities.
- Applicant will be tested on his/her knowledge on the various Linux distributions and Open Source Software and his/her technical competency skills to diagnose and solve technical challenges.
- Having MSCE, LPI, RHCE, Brainbench, CCNA, ITSM certifications and ability to speak Bahasa Melayu and Bahasa Indonesia is an added advantage.

(4) Sales Executive/Consultant
Location of Work: Singapore with some travel in Asia
Requirement(s):
- Minimum 2 years sales experience in Internet and IT infrastructure product sales with past proven sales track record.
- Aggressive, determined and good closer.
- Good people and communication skills.
- Good at following-up and delivering presentations.
- Good PC skills in office software an advantage.
- Knowledge of Linux and Open Source Software will be preferred.
- Good command of conversational English.
- Ability to speak Mandarin or Malay will be an advantage.
(5) Support Engineers
Location : Bangalore
Job Description :
- To support our clients in using our products.
- To learn how to install, configure, use our products.
- To troubleshoot and resolve products problems.
- To travel to customer locations and install, configure and demonstrate the usage of our products.
- To provide on-call support to our clients.
- To provide pre-sales support to our resellers by demonstrating and explaining our products to our clients.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in providing customer support.
- Minimum 2 years experience in supporting Linux and UNIX based desktops and servers.
- Exposure to Open Source Software such as Postfix, Apache, Dansguardian, Squid, MySQL, ISC DHCP, SpamAssassin, ClamAV, PHP, OpenLDAP, Samba, CUPS and other GNU tools and utilities.
- Able to work long hours when needed and willingness to work on weekends and rotating shifts.
- Willingness to travel across India and Asia.

(6) Sales Manager
Location : Bangalore
Job Description:
- Identification and development of business opportunities.
- Formulate strategies to grow the business.
- Direct the overall distribution strategy throughout the business.
- Lead the teams within the country/regions in the achievement of revenue targets on a quarterly basis.
- Monitor revenue and take action as required to retain focus on outcomes.
- Oversee the formulation of forecasts, budgets and reports for presentation to and approval by the Management.
- P&L and investment responsibility.
- Drive each geographic team to meet their specific briefs, goals and targets.
- Manage the performance of each sales person in the team to attain quarterly goals and budgets through regular meetings and follow up to discuss issues and priorities.
Requirements:
- MBA with 15+ years of experience. Preferably with a sales/marketing background.
- A strategic thinker and a good leader.
