CommGate joins IBM
PartnerWorld to offer comprehensive Secure Business Server solutions
for Small and Medium Businesses. Partnership to Deliver Infrastructure
Solutions targeted specifically at Small and Medium Businesses using
CommGate Secure Business Server range of products.
With this announcement, CommGate in partnership with IBM will be promoting its CommGate range of Secure Business Server network infrastructure products to the Small and Medium Businesses through the IBM PartnerWorld Programme and include IBM DB2 Express and IBM WebSphere to growing Small-Medium Businesses.
"It took CommGate a solid 6-months to evaluate, deliberate and decide which vendor we want to work with in our initial product launch as we needed a hardware, software and technology partner with insight into the future, has a vision on Software as a Service and a network to value-add into the relationship", says Moonshi Mohsenruddin, CEO of CommGate Inc. about how the partnership with IBM was realised.
He added, "Small-medium businesses usually do not have the technical know-how and resources to deploy a secure network infrastructure and integrate it with their web services, email communications, firewall, remote access, intrusion detection and prevention. Most of these SMBs also can't afford the high licensing costs of implementing such systems. SMBs thought that anti-virus for the desktop and a gateway firewall is sufficient for their business network and computers until their network is randomly attacked with a Denial Of Service (DoS), or becomes a victim of a worm propagating on the Internet. Worst, some of these SMBs invested on some robust servers and due to the lack of security knowledge and management of their corporate security policies, their systems was not deployed securely. Interestingly, most SMBs don't even know that they need to patch their computers and servers software regularly leaving their network open as mail relays and zombies, with their intranets and web servers open to search engines making public their confidential business information and proprietary content".
